President William Ruto landed in military chopper at Kabunde Airstrip in Homa Bay County to warm reception by top leaders who also included his appointees hailing from the Nyanza region.

The head of state was given warm reception after his arrival in Homabay and ODM Governor Gladys Wanga, Permanent Secretary in the ministry of interior Raymond Omollo, Cabinet Secretary for ICT Eliud Owalo were all present to welcome the head of state.

Other leaders who are also present at the event included CS of Education Ezekiel Machogu and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
