The Former High School Teacher Being Fronted By The Mount Kenya Region To Deputise Ruto

President Uhuru Kenyatta is retiring in 2022, the race to succeed him is already taking shape, One of the frontrunners in this race is his deputy, Dr. William Ruto. Ruto who fell out with the president is determined to succeed him with or without his support. Ruto is already organising his team for this race.

Ruto depends on the support of the mount Kenya region to boost his bid, to maintain the support that he currently enjoys, the man from Sugoi will have to pick his running mate from the region, one of those who are being fronted by the Mount Kenya leaders is the former cabinet secretary in the Ministry of agriculture Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri.

Kiunjuri served as the CS for Devolution and Planning in 2014 before being moved to the Ministry of Agriculture. The former Laikipia member of parliament would later be fired by President Uhuru rendering him jobless.

Hon. Kiunjuri is a teacher professionally, he graduated with Bachelor of Education from Moi University, before venturing into politics, the vocal politician taught in high school.

He taught at Kangema High School, Kiarithaini High School and Dr Kiano Boys School between 1983 and 1997. He quit teaching at Kiarithaini Secondary School, Nyeri county, in 1997 and was elected MP for Laikipia East on the Democratic Party ticket. Kiunjuri served for three terms before vying for Laikipia Gubernatorial race in 2013 which he lost.
