The President and his deputy were in Embakasi today for the police officers' graduation ceremony. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome, and other senior police personnel were among the leaders present at the ceremony.
The Deputy President reflected on his own experience as one of the police graduates about 32 years ago as he addressed the police who are just beginning their careers. The Deputy President confessed that it brought back memories of his early career as a police officer as he addressed the assembled as the Deputy President.
The DP also made Embakasi chuckle by analyzing how the President looked at the pared down.
The DP thought how a comparable event might have been if the election had never gone in their favor, and this made them giggle. Despite not addressing him personally, it was obvious that the Deputy President was expressing his gratitude to the Chief Opposition Leader for Ruto's election to the position.
The DP went on to congratulate the new police officer on rising to that level and even promised them the full backing of the government. Use the link below to view the video as well;
