At the beginning of his tour in Kajiado county, Baringo County senator Gideon Moi met Maa elders, county leaders and grassroot opinion leaders at Amboseli. Through the meeting they held consultative discussions about the society.
Gideon Moi: "As repositories of wisdom, elders are critical to growth of society. We should consult them to build a resilient society. Consulting with section of Maa Elders, grassroots opinion leaders and Kajiado County leadership led by the Governor H.E Joseph Ole Lenku at Amboseli."
The KANU leader also met MCAs in the area and expressed his gratitude for passing the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) constitutional bill.
Gideon Moi: "While meeting Kajiado MCAs, I expressed my gratitude to them for passing the BBI Constitutional Amendment Bill in their county assembly. Present was the Majority Leader Hon Moipaai, Minority Leader Hon Naikuni, Majority Whip Hon James Waichangura and Minority Whip Hon. Nkaloyo."
Finalizing his tour at Kamana in Kajiado, Moi met Pastoralist communities and asked them to support BBI in return they will see resources allocated to them. He expressed his reasons why the communities needs to expand their businesses, access to value addition services and market platforms.
Gideon Moi: "Pastoralists communities are integral to fast tracking our country's economic development. They deserve our support in expanding their livestock business through provision of seed capital, and value addition as well as markets for their dairy products. Through the reforms espoused in BBI, more resources will trickle to them at the grassroot level to ensure we accelerate prosperity."
