'Hongera Ruto' Azimio Ally Changes Tune after Raila Odinga Rejected IEBC Results

UDP leader Cyrus Jirongo has changed tune days after Azimio One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga rejected IEBC presidential results citing irregularities.

Jirongo's party is affiliated to Azimio and he seeking for Kakamega governor seat. The UDP leader has, however differed with his coalition move to challenge William Ruto's victory.

Jirongo took to the media to congratulate Dr Ruto, noting that he won the presidency after majority of Kenyans voted for him.

Jirongo earlier said the UDA leader had won and urged his community to accept the IEBC verdict, effectively dismissing the position taken by Mr Odinga.

Azimio team is heading to the court hopeful to overturn Ruto's victory.

Ruto said as the Kenya Kwanza team, they are ready to abide by legal dictates that may emerge from their win.

Ruto, while speaking to Kenya Kwanza leaders, said that 10 independent MPs-elect have joined his Alliance.

UDM party which was allied to Raila's camp also joined Kenya Kwanza.

Mandera Senator-elect Ali Roba met Ruto at his Karen residence on Thursday with a host of elected leaders from the party where they affirmed their support.
