ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The motion which will be tabled before Nairobi county assembly this week is sponsored by the minority whip Peter Imwatok.
If it passes, it will see Mbagathi way named after Raila given his immense Contribution to the country.
He said that the ODM leader has done many things for the country and no effort has ever been made to honor him hence as ODM, they have decided to honor him.
This isn't the first time such a move is being made. In June, kangema mp Muturi kigano suggested that a road in Nairobi be Named after Raila adding that Mbagathi way's stability is credited to Raila.
His suggestion was supported by Moitalel Ole Kenta who said that Odinga is an icon who deserves recognition.
The mps were making remarks during a pettition in Parliament to have karura forest named after Wangari Mathai.
The move comes after another road in Nairobi was named after COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli.
Dik dik road was renamed Francis Atwoli road in late May by Nairobi city acting governor Ann kananu.
However, the move didn't impress some activists who said that Atwoli doesn't have the credentials to receive such a honor given that he hasn't improved the lives of workers for all this time he has been secretary general.
If Raila gets the honor of being named after a road, it will be good news to him and ODM fraternity as it will boost his publicity ahead of 2022 General election.
