After Embakasi East lawmaker Paul Ongili, who is commonly referred to as Babu Owino, was accused of being involved in an active shooting case involving Felix Orinda, alias DJ Evolve, many Kenyans would be forgiven to assume that he would not seek reelection under chapter 6 of the new constitution laws.
However, Babu is expected to defend his seat in next year's election with Uganda politician Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, joining him in urging Kenyans to vote for him in the upcoming general elections.
In a viral that trended over the weekend, the former Ugandan presidential aspirant urged Kenyans to register as voters and make sure they vote for Babu come 2022.
However, this did not augur well with a majority of Kenyans led by gospel artist Kambua who reacted to the endorsement in disbelief.
Kambua was responding to a tweet by a Kenyan who had stated:
"The sad thing about not paying attention to what is going on in other African countries is that you easily align with oppressors @HEBobiwine endorsing a man who hasn't been jailed for shooting someone on video, a video KOT are always sharing???"
