On the 15th of August 2022, Dr William Samoei Ruto was announced by the IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati, as the president-elect of Kenya. Ruto was celebrated all over the country and celebrations are still going on.
Some celebrities also congratulated him on his win. Here is what they had to say.
1. Risper Faith.
Although he did not win, Risper a popular socialite seems to be a true follower of ODM leader Raila Odinga, since he congratulated him and still thinks he is the winner.
"Congratulations Mr President najua niwewe umeshinda (congratulations Mr President I know you are the winner)," she wrote.
2. Betty Kyallo.
The former Ktn news anchor Betty Kyallo also congratulated Ruto and asked Kenyans to remain peaceful.
"Congratulations Mr President. May God guide you as you lead. Hope we can keep peace and unity," she wrote.
The popular Kikuyu musician Samuel Muchoki famously known as Samidoh has also congratulated the president-elect with some strong words.
"Life is race, not a stroll. It's a series of sprints, stops and starts, highs and lows, and a million other scenarios. Kenya belongs to all of us, we forge forward, peace being the biggest winner. The nation is bigger than all of us. Congratulations to the president-elect.
