Kipchumba Murkomen Hands Over The Office of Majority Leader, Recalls How he Was Thrown Out

Kipchumba Murkomen, the nominated transport CS, today handed over the office of the majority leader of the national parliament to Aaron Cheruiyot. The former leader of the house recalled how he was quickly ejected from the office after falling out with former president Uhuru Kenyatta.

He narrated how they hurriedly left the office together with his staff for the new leader, Amos Kimunya, to settle in. He said he felt privileged that today he decently handed over to Aaron, and even got a chance to call and thank his staff members who served him during his tenure.

Murkomen stood his ground in support of William Ruto and lost his position as a consequence. Uhuru and Ruto were not seeing eye to-eye with each other. Those who were in support of Ruto suffered the most, but it is now their moment to enjoy the fruits of their persistence and loyalty. Ruto has rewarded them for sticking with him.
