Kenya Kwanza running mate and Mathira Member of Parliament Hon Rigathi Gachagua has declared that he will not forgive Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Amolo Odinga after what the veteran politician did to Mt Kenya region after he entered the government.
While speaking in Embu county, Rigathi Gachagua said that they had agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta that before the head of State retires, all households in the Mt Kenya region should be connected with electricity. However, Gachagua claims that Raila ruined the plans leading to Uhuru turning his back on some of his allies.
"One thing that we will not forgive him, leave alone issues of votes, we had a program of electricity for people of Mt Kenya of Ksh 3 billion, we had agreed with President Uhuru Kenyatta that every household should be connected with electricity before he goes to retirement."
"We had even allocated Ksh 3 billion, he came and caused chaos, asked Kuria and Kimani who were on the budget committee to give the 3 billion from the Mountain but they refused. Uhuru chased them away" Gachagua said.
"Kanini Koru came and signed, the money that Kimani and Kuria refused to give and it was taken to the other side. Now Uhuru is headed to retirement and our people don't have electricity. That one we will never forgive you riddles(Raila)" Gachagua added.
The vocal lawmaker added that he will rally the Mt Kenya region behind DP Ruto because he has the best interest of residents at his heart. He urged Embu residents to vote for Kenya Kwanza and reject other coalitions.
