Member of Parliament for Saboti Constituency Honorable Caleb Amisi has his Twitter account to applaud the authors of the Current Kenyan Constitution of 2010.
In arguing that in the situation where only the two third of Members of the County Assembly are required to impeach a Governor, about 40 Governors would be home by now as their Deputies take over as full-time Governors.
He said that the makers of the current constitution were geniuses. They saw it wise to seek the approval of the Senate before an impeachment of the Governor is affected.
His remarks come a day before tomorrow's reading of Governor Mwangaza's impeachment verdict. She was impeached by the Meru MCAs on misuse of public office, and nepotism among other allegations raised by the mover of the motion DMK Kiogora.
Kenyans and particularly the residents of Meru are looking forward to receiving the ruling on the motion seeking to remove Governor Kawira Mwangaza from office.
