National Assemby Speaker, Moses Wetangula, attended a thanksgiving ceremony for Cabinet Secretary for Information Communication and Digital Economy, Mr. Eliud Owalo at his home in Asembo, Rarieda Sub-county, Siaya County on Saturday, 14th January 2023.
The event was graced by Kenya's President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua among other leaders from the national government.
The event was held to celebrate Mr. Owalo's appointment to the Cabinet and was attended by prominent leaders from Siaya County and other areas of the country. Senator Wetangula congratulated Mr. Owalo on his achievement and wished him success in his new role.
"I thank the H.E the President to have appointed him to the cabinet and I have no doubt in my mind that he will deliver his mandate by serving Kenya as a whole without fear, favor or prejudice," Wetangula said.
In his remarks, Senator Wetangula expressed his appreciation to President Ruto and Deputy President Gachagua for gracing the ceremony. He lauded their commitment to the development of Siaya County and highlighted their efforts to ensure equitable distribution of resources to all parts of the country.
The National Assembly Speaker also commended Mr. Owalo for his hard work and dedication to the advancement of Information Communication and Digital Economy in Kenya. He noted that the appointment was a recognition of his commitment and urged him to use the opportunity to continue driving positive change in the sector.
