Vocal Ugandan activist Stella Nyanzi today hosted a colorful birthday party for her twin sons, Wasswa and Kato, who turned 14 years old. Stella's sons, who are football fanatics, rocked jerseys of their favorite EPL teams and celebrated the memorable day in the company of their mother and friends.
The sumptuous birthday cake had a football theme to signify Stella's sons love for the beautiful game of football. Only a few friends attended the simple yet memorable birthday party.
"My twin sons turned fourteen years old! We had a lovely birthday luncheon with good friends here in Kenya. And yes, it was a football birthday theme. Happy birthday Wasswa and Kato!" Stella posted on her Facebook page.
The prominent Ugandan academic turned political activist fled to Kenya with her kids a few months ago, citing political persecution by President Yoweri Museveni's Government. She alleged that police were trailing her kids and intimidating them, forcing her to flee to Kenya with her family.
" The adductions and detentions of political actors were getting closer to me, my chidlren have been targets of police trailing, " Nyanzi said while defending her decision to flee to Kenya at a time Ugandans were fighting for change.
Here are photos of the birthday party.
