Several candidates for Principal Secretary will go through the legal vetting process today. The public will learn each of the 10 main secretaries' net worths during the vetting process. The 10 will appear before the departmental committees of their respective houses, which is a different process from the CS vetting that was presided over by speaker Moses Wetangula.
Cabinet Affairs PS Julius Korir, National Treasury PS Chris Kiptoo, and Crop Development PS Philip Harsame will each speak between 9 and 11 a.m. The administration and internal affairs committee, the agriculture committee, and the finance and planning committee, in that order, will hear from the three. Between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm, Raymond Omollo, Kimutai, and Muhati will appear before the aforementioned committees as well as the economic planning committee.
The Administration and Internal Affairs committee will review Julius Bitok, a candidate for the Citizen Service PS, and Peter Tum, a candidate for the Medical Service PS, between the hours of 2.30 and 4.30. The PS for Parliamentary Affairs, Aurella Rono, will be the final candidate to be examined from 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.
