What Tharaka Nithi Governor Told ODM Leader Raila Odinga Today in Chuka Town

On his last day of Mount Kenya East your, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) engaged the electorate in various places in both Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties where he explained to people what he will do if he succeeds president Uhuru Kenyatta next year.

While in Chuka town, Tharaka Nithi county, he was accompanied by the area governor Muthoni Njuki.

When his turn to speak knocked, the governor did not directly promise the ODM leader that he will support his 2022 presidential bid, but will first listen to the views of the people of Tharaka Nithi.

"Tumekuribisha sana Hon. Prime minister lakini wale watu wataamua ni hawa wananchi. Wakichagua wewe basi ni hivo," he said.

He further told him that he has looked at his economic policy and concluded that it stands higher chances of solving many problems that the people of Kenya go through as compared to others adding that many people are likely to support it.

He further said that he is still a strong member of the Jubilee party and president Uhuru Kenyatta is still his boss adding that the decision he will make will highly determine the direction the region will take in 2022.

He further told the former prime minister to tell president Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure that some of the projects that the national government initiated on the region before the end of his term.
