Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) Commissioner Roselyn Akombe now says that the 2022 General Elections is as good as done following Ezra Chiloba's appointment As Communication Authority Directo General.
In a tweet she shared after the news became public that the former IEBC CEO had landed the role, Akombe noted that the post is key in data protection.
According to Akombe CA will be key in the Electronic Transmission of Results.
Akombe did not however make it clear whether Chiloba will be working for the ODM leader Rails Odinga or the Deputy President William Ruto considering that the two are the front runners for the race.
Conjecture has it that the Former IEBC CEO is a close ally of the DP something that is yet to be proved.
Also, reports indicated that Chiloba played. a key role in 2017 polls that saw the results turn out in favour of the ODM leader. The reports have since not been substantiated.
