Deputy President William Ruto is fighting so hard to stay afloat as 2022 draws near with road becoming bumpy.
Apart from fighting the opposition, DP Ruto is now fighting his boss Uhuru Kenyatta and the big question of resigning is still making headlines.
In a rather unusual tweet, Ruto asked hustlers to unsubscribe from a service that his ally, Kipchumba Murkomen, said is a state propaganda platform.
"Dear Subscriber, you have successfully unsubscribed from 21411_News_Breaking_News/5sms.Tuonane kule mbele. KaziNiKazi," Ruto tweeted,
This means that he unsubscribed from the platform sending news to mobile users.
Though many are still wondering what the platform entails that made Ruto wants to unsubscribe, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said that a messaging platform is a propaganda tool.
"There’s no difference between SMS news alert 411 and Joseph Goebbels’ notepad. It is the state’s most vicious propaganda tool against hustlers and their quest for inclusion.UNSUBSCRIBE is the only option left," he said.
What is your take on the platform sending mobile users breaking news that many think is targeting a certain political side?
