Ann Waiguru with Raila Odinga.
Politics will remain politics no matter how politician abuse each other or move from one party to another. This is what is seen currently in Kenya as we remain with less than 11 months to next general elections, many politicians are looking for a suitable party that will give them a seat either in parliament or governor office.
Today Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru has surprised those who had hopes that she would join Raila Odinga'a camp and support him come 2022. Speaking during her visit in Kirinyaga where she is the Governor, Waiguru hinted that she will be on the ballot for a second term. "Mtanichagua tena nikija na Uda, (will you vote me as your governor for a second term if I join UDA party)," asked Ann Waiguru. The crowd answered a big yes to her with cheers telling her they will support her for the second term in office as their governor.
Well this might be a surprise to Raila Odinga as it is official that Ann Waiguru has joined United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party led by William Ruto.
