Jitters in Raila's Camp as Report Reveals How Maina Kamanda Has Been 'Lying' to Agwambo

Political pundits have collectively dubbed 2022 presidential duel a two-horse-race between Kenya's veteran Raila Odinga and the self-styled hustler William Ruto. The question of who between the two will unseat Jomo Kenyatta's son will be answered by time itself.

One of the political parameters that will determine the victor in the forthcoming presidential race is Mt Kenya influnce. The region basks on notoriety of giving presidential hopefuls a lifeline thanks to their tyranny of numbers.

Raila is capitalizing on their support so is Samoei. Addressing Laikipia residents on October 09, 2021, the second in command reprimanded ODM boss by calling him to forget of ever receiving the region's support citing that the region has their spokesman who has stood with them in their thick and thick times.

Ruto has lived frequenting the region since 2013 when he first joined arms with Uhuru Kenyatta. Hitherto, he is but a defacto kingpin a claim that was recently solidified by statistics from Radio Africa Group (RAG).

From the report, Ruto is the most preferred presidential candidate in Mt Kenya with a rating of 57%. Following him is Agwambo with a 11%, Alfred Mutua and Musalia Mudavadi takes position three and four respectively.

Mt Kenya based pro-Raila crusaders have lived assuring ODM boss of a grand breakthrough in the region but statistics shows the contrary. Is Raila living a lie believing the mountaineers will catalyze his bid? Maybe. Kieni Member of Parliament (MP) Kanini Kega and nominated MP Maina Kamanda are among those 'pulling wool' over Baba's eyes.

Raila has in recent days made inroads to Uhuru's turf and he has hitherto met with business moguls and youths in his bid to dissipate Samoei's influence. Should his mission actualize and consequently win hearts, then his fifth presidential shot stands a chance of materializing.
