"I Will Never Vie For MP Again" Popular UDA Politician Says As He Ask Ruto For A Job

Francis Kigo Njenga, a former member of parliament for Gatundu North, has announced his intention to leave public life.

For five years, from 2013 to 2017, Njenga served as the constituency's representative before being ousted by Ann Wanjiku Kibe, a former radio host and the CEO of Kameme FM.

During the August elections, he ran on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket but lost to Independent candidate Elijah Njoroge Kururia.

Njenga announced his plans to work for President William Ruto's cabinet after leaving local politics during a party he gave for friends on Saturday night, shortly after receiving his doctorate.

I am no longer interested in local politics and have decided not to run for office again. Having completed my studies in municipal politics, I am prepared to assume any role in the federal government "according to a report in the People's Daily quoting him on the matter.

Gathoni Wamuchomba (Women Rep), Mburu Kahangara (Lari), and George Koimbori (Juja) were among the Kiambu MPs in attendance, and they all urged Ruto to include Njenga in his list of principal secretaries and chief administrative secretaries.

"Kiambu is advocating for the appointment of Kigo Njenga, a dedicated general who has our team's full support. We cannot let him waste a doctorate, hence we are pushing for him to be promoted, as stated by Wamuchomba.
