Today, there is a photo of COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli going rounds on social media. In the photo, Atwoli is in the airport carrying a travelling bag. However, he has come out to clear the air in the photo and when it was taken. According to him, it was taken five years ago in Malaysia.
On his official Facebook page, he wrote;
"Somebody using my old photo while arriving in Kuala Lumber Malasya five years ago, Shenzi sana!"
It should be noted that this comes at a time when Kenyans anxiously wait for the announcement of the presidential elections. The elections has a stiff competition between deputy president William Ruto and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party flag bearer Raila Odinga.
Despite various social media rumours, the citizens are advised to only patiently wait for Wafula Chebukati who will announce the results as accordance to the law. This should be done within seven days.
