Governor Anne Waiguru and entire Kirinyanga UDA party brigade addressed four stop overs at Githure, Kiamutugu, Mbiri and Ithare towns. A huge crowd of local residents dressed on yellow UDA party attires showed up in the rallies.
" Thank you my Gichugu people for your wonderful reception and the passionate engagement we've had in Githure, Kiamutugu, Mbiri and Ithare towns" wrote Anne Waiguru on her official Facebook page.
The local residents unanimously agreed to support UDA presidential candidate William Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua joint presidential candidature.
" Gichugu endorses the 5th president of Kenya William Ruto, Governor Anne Waiguru and all UDA nominees" added Waiguru.
Waiguru also used the opportunity to popularize her Kirinyanga reelection bid on UDA party ticket. She urged Gichugu constituents to support her gubernatorial bid and all UDA party nominees.
Governor Anne Waiguru is facing stiff competition from ruling Jubilee candidate senator Charles Kibiru and Kirinyanga women representative Purity Ngirici Wangui who is vying as an independent candidate.
