Ngirici who is a staunch supporter of Deputy President William Ruto and the UDA Party stated that going for the gubernatorial seat is as a result of her zeal to serve the people of Kiriyanga and make their lives better after engaging with them and noting what they need.
Speaking with NTV on Tuesday evening, Ngirici refused to answer a question by the host on which part the governor had failed that she will ensure is improved in case she wins.
"I will not talk about somebody else. The fact that I am able to work with my people and understand their issues is my aim. I think I am ripe to work with Wanjiku, and their needs are what matters to me."
She went on to call upon Kirinyaga voters to support her, since by the end of the day the leader will be determined by who leads in the number of votes.
Ngirici will be racing against Governor Waiguru, Interior PS Karanja Kibicho, Former Justice Minister Martha Karua among others.
