In Most rallies the Deputy President has been making to the Mt. Kenya region, he has been taking aimed at empowerments to the region according to his allies. This has not gotten those from the region who seem to be opposed to him well, and they have been asking why he is taking it mostly to the Mt. Kenya region and not other regions.
Led by the Jubilee vice chairman David Murate, that political faction has been uncomfortable with that and in moet cases they tend to ask their people to stay away from such rallies. There are several reasons why the DP prefers this region more. First and foremost, this region is rich in votes.
Mt. Kenya is always seen as the biggest voting bloc. This makes him develop even greator interest in the region than other regions. This is also the region the DP considered the quit polular since they campaigned for the president twice in the past polls and he sees the region as its friend. H laso has allies from the region and most people think that he is likely to pick his running mate from the same region.
