DP Ruto Pays Ksh. 20,000 to Woman as Appreciation For Her Kind Gesture

As the 2022 general elections draw nearer, the country's politicians have been crisscrossing various parts of the nation to campaign. They have been drumming up support for their favourite candidates running for the presidency in the polls slated for August next year.

This weekend has seen the Deputy President, who is one of the front runners in the race to succeed his current boss, set up camp in the Nyanza region rallying for supporters. On Saturday September 25th he joined worshippers at the Awendo Central Seventh Day Adventist church for prayers in the company of area governor Hon Okoth Obado.

He also addressed masses of local people who had gathered in Awendo town mostly the youth and boda boda operators. It is alleged that the Deputy President splashed a lot of money to the youth as he tried to win their support. the Nyanza region has always been considered a strong hold of former Prime Minister Hon. Raila Odinga.

As Ruto was out campaigning, the weather started to open up as rains poured down. The drizzles prompted the Deputy President to request for an umbrella from one lady who was in the crowd. The umbrella was handed over to DP Ruto and in return he gave the woman a token.

It is said that he turned to one of his bodyguards and requested that he be given ksh. 20,000 which he gave to the woman. This act delighted the crowd as they cheered him on in appreciation of this gesture. This must have been a lucky day for the woman.
