Fearless Woman Lectures Kilgoris MP at Raila's Narok Meeting Forcing the MC to React (Video)

A fearless woman today lectured Kilgoris Constituency MP Gideon Konchella in front of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and other Azimio leaders over poor development records.

Speaking at Azimio leaders Engaging meeting held in Kilgoris,Narok County today, the woman identified as Elizabeth Kagwi told claimed there roads are not tarmac yet they have been having an MP all a long. She wondered whether they are unfit to have the tarmac roads.

"Trans Mara hatujawai ona lami. Tunashangaa ni sisi ndio tunaogopa lami ama lami haitutaki (We have never seen tarmac in Trans Mara. We wonder if it is us who fear the tarmac or it is the tarmac that don't want us)," she said.

Mrs. Elizabeth did not shy off that she was speaking directly to MP Konchella who was also present at the meeting. She claimed that even at the district hospital in Trans Mara, there are no drugs to be given to the sick.

"Naongea na Mheshimiwa Konchella, wewe ni munger wa Trans Mara (Am talking to Hon. Konchella, you are the MP for Trans Mara)," she said.

"You cannot even get a panadol if you go to the district hospital when sick," she added in Swahili dialect.

Mrs. Elizabeth wondered whether there is no finance allocated to the hospitals in the Trans Mara region. She claimed that that even expectant woman are asked to buy cotton wools to be used during delivery at the said district hospital.

"Mama akienda kufungua anaambiwa anunue cotton wool. Kwa sababu gani? Pesa ya mradi ya hospitali imeenda wapi? (Women are told to buy even cotton wool when they go to deliver. Why? Where has the money allocated for hospitals gone to?)," the woman posed.

She asked the Kilgoris MP to find time to visit the hospital to make area residents understand the situation. She also asked ODM leader Raila Odinga to intervene on the matter.

However, the MC reminded her that the health sector should have been directed to the area governor and not the MP after her speech.

"She has said the truth but that should have been directed to the governor. MP nowadays has less powers on Health," the MC said.
