Happening Now: UDA Allied Members Are Threatening to Riot Over Party Stance in Nairobi Leadership


United Democratic Alliance (UDA) allied members have allegedly threatened to riot after the party released the lineup of its aspirants that will vie for Nairobi leadership in 2022 general elections.

According to Gabriel Oguda, the members are not happy after the party decided that Bishop Margaret Wanjiru will be vying for the seat of the governor, Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga for the senatorial seat while Karen Nyamu to go for the Women Representative position.

“UDA members in Nairobi are threatening to riot if the Party doesn't change their Nairobi lineup from Wanjiru-Omanga-Nyamu. Wait until they hear Mariga is vying again in Kibra. Kiambu has Waititu, Ka-Wanjiku, et. al. Mumesema hata literacy ni bottom-up?” he tweeted.

The three women have been actively participating in the campaign caravan that has the party leader, Deputy President William Ruto. It is reported that the allies feel other politicians in the party can hold some position better than the current crop.
