Eldas Constituency Member of Parliament Adan Wehliye has dismissed reports that have been circulating on social media saying that he has resigned from office.
The MP has termed the letter making rounds on social media as fake and misleading.
"My attention has been drawn to a widespread FAKE letter with unfounded and patchy information circulating on social media by purveyors of deceit and misleaders." He said.
The legislator noted that the details on the letter are irrelevant. Wehliye added that he will report the matter for further investigations.
"I wish to notify members of the public to consider the letter FAKE and disregard the baseless details as I seek to bring the matter to the attention of relevant investigative agencies to swiftly act and pursue the matter to its ultimate end." Hon. Wehliye said on Facebook.
The fake letter has caused a stir online leaving many people in confusion of what transpired.
