Major Political Twist as Top Mt Kenya Leader Issues Statement on Joining Ruto's Camp 2 Days To Polls

Earlier on Saturday morning, reports emerged that the Kiambu governor James Nyoro's running mate, June Waweru is holding major political talks on joining the Second in Command, William Samoei Ruto's camp ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Speaking to People Daily Digital through a phone call hours after the fierce claims, the Deputy Governor has dismissed the allegations, stating that they are all fallacious and should be treated with great contempt. She accused the DP's camp is full of corrupt leaders.

"Those are kicks of a dying horse. I cannot be in the same assembly with thieves and corrupt men and women. I'm happy in Jubilee and even in a dream, I can never imagine joining Kenya Kwanza," she stated.

She further affirmed that she cannot dare join the Kenya Kwanza camp stating that she is happy in Jubilee. She argued that their opponents have sensed defeat ahead of next week and that's why they're propagating cheap propaganda.

"They all know Nyoro will beat them but to vent their anger, our opponents have resorted to propaganda which to us is not selling and will not change the truth on the ground," she said.

Governor Nyoro, the incumbent vocal politician who has only served for two years is facing frontrunners among them Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina Jungle, Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi, former governor William Kabogo, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Mwende Gatabaki in the hotly contested race.
