No Easy Way Out For Cherera And Co As Supreme Court Demolishes Their 'Opaque' Claims

The Supreme Court justices left the question open after hearing submissions from lawyers who appeared to the plaintiffs. Attorneys representing four dissident commissioners have accused IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati of rigging the election in favour of Deputy President William Ruto.

According to the attorneys, the four commissioners knowingly did not participate in the verification process. However, this was a controversial issue as all four passed the results to Bomas.

Judges Njoki Ndungu, Martha Koome and Isaac Lenaola questioned why all four did not sound the alarm and why they were shown results announcements that they had not verified. "We've seen your customers read the results publicly until the last hour, what evidence do we have that it's a hindsight?" Lenaola asked. Questions should be answered while answering.
