Atwoli Says Raila Will Overtake DP Ruto In Terms Of Popularity And Be The Mt Kenya Kingpin By April

Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General, Francis Atwoli, has stated that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has started climbing Mt Kenya and he will overtake Deputy President William Ruto in April.

Currently, the second in command has a cult following in the vote-rich region with the August General Elections fast approaching.

During an interview with TV 47, the outspoken COTU boss noted that according to a survey that was conducted by a reliable source, the two frontrunners for the presidency were in a neck-to-neck battle for the populous region’s votes.

According to Atwoli, in his next interview with the media company in April, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be leading in the region.

“According to reliable sources and surveys, Raila and Ruto are in a neck-and-neck battle for votes in Mt Kenya region. And by April this year when you call me for an interview, I will tell you Raila is ahead of Ruto. It’s just a matter of time,” Atwoli stated.
