Raila had a chance to address the people of Nyeri county after the burial of the mother to Nyeri county deputy governor. During his speech, Raila tried to escape from what DP Ruto has been piling on him about receiving support from the state saying he is not someone's project. A few days ago, we had David Murathe confirm that plans to ensure Raila ascends to State House are underway.

However, Raila went ahead and trashed David Murathe's claims and those by DP Ruto that he is receiving support. He first started by telling the audience about president Uhuru's greetings to them.
"The President sent his greetings as I was coming to Nyeri. I do not want to come with Uhuru like this. I am not anyone's proect. I cannot be a project, I am Raila Odinga," said Raila.

This sounds like betrayal to David Murathe and Raila Odinga since their assistance is not being appreciated by Raila in public.
