President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga on March 2018 entered into handshake in what they said was a move to unite the country.
Their decision to bury their political differences and come together for the sake of Kenyans birthed the Building Bridges Initiative BBI drive which was aimed at amending the 2010 constitution.

Their efforts to amend the constitution were however dealt a huge blow after the High Court and the Appellate Court termed the process illegal and unconstitutional.
