Just a few weeks have passed since Kenya's general elections on August 9, 2022. The independent electoral and boundaries commission conducted the elections for the six coveted seats, which ranged from those of the president to those of members of county legislatures.
Four candidates competed for the position of president with the hopes of succeeding President Kenyatta. President-elect William Ruto, previous leader Raila Amollo Odinga, George Wajackoyah of the Roots party, and Wahiga Measure.
The son of Yoweri Kakuta Museveni, the president of Uganda and leader of the country's military, has spoken out against the recently held presidential elections in Kenya.
He claims that only Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta could have overthrown current President William Ruto to win a third term as the country's leader. He expresses his wish that President Kenyatta had run for reelection.
