Opinion: Why 2022 Race Might Be Tough To Deputy Ruto Though He Appears To Be The Top Contender.

The 2022 race is around the corner as most key presidential aspirants are touring the nation with the aim of winning the souls of voters.

The political bigwigs that have shown their interest for race are: Deputy William Ruto, Amanini National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU party leader Gideon Moi, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and the Speaker of the National Assembly Justine Muturi.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) part leader promised to declare his stand whether he will run for presidency or not by the end of October. But from his moves he seems to be in the race.

Deputy Ruto who appears to be the top contender, might find it very difficult to win the race as he may think due to the following:

1. Deputy Ruto who is from the Rift Valley regions, might not get all the votes from his backyard. Some of the region's votes will go to Gideon Moi who is also from the same region and is in the same race.

2. Deputy Ruto expected to inherit the Mountain regions' votes from Kenyatta. But according to the current situation, they are likely to divide the votes with Odinga who is also gaining a great support from the region. This might make Deputy Ruto find rough time of win the elections.
