President Uhuru Kenyatta's side of the political divide has come out guns blazing with bitter reactions with politicians allied to Azimio la umoja alleging that Ruto is after political witch hunt against the president and his allies should he win in the coming general elections.
This is especially so after a local daily reported that deputy president William Ruto admitted to almost slapping president Uhuru Kenyatta during a tense meeting following the nullification of the presidential election results in 2017.
And now, Suna East constituency member of the national assembly Hon Junet Mohamed has come out to breath fire. In a statement on his social media handle, Junet said that kenyans must reject the UDA presidential candidate.
Junet argues that because Ruto has admitted to almost assaulting president Uhuru Kenyatta, his opponents will not be safe should he clinch the presidency in the coming polls.
"A man who says he nearly assaulted the sitting President will not hesitate to MURDER his political opponents, as individuals and as communities. Kenya must reject William Ruto," Junet argued.
