The legislator has said that he was annoyed with the reports that he had received from Kenyans concerning the widespread corruption in the ongoing hiring of police officer.Ledama claimed that, during the exercise,some of qualified candidates were unable to join the forces due to lack of huge bribes demanded by the recruiting officers
Ledama said"Reports of widespread corruption in the ongoing hiring of police officers are annoying indeed. Some of the qualified candidates claim they had been locked out on a flimsy ground because they could not raise the huge bribes demanded by recruiting officers.-"
Narok county Senator added that most of candidates who qualified for the exercise who shortchanged as a result,the senator has termed the exercise as below the board.
Ledama added"In some cases, results of the recruitments were shrouded in secrecy. The recent recruitment of the KDF officers can also not be said to have been above board."
