With recently emergence of cracks in the handshake between President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila, may force the former Prime minister back to the drawing board to rethink his political strategy.
The handshake which is three years old, has in recent days been a subject of debate over it's survival as allies of Raila accused people in the office of the president for sabotaging it.
ODM allies have been uncomfortable with what they see as inclusion of sacred alliance into an agreement that was initially between the two leaders, and they further threatened to pull out of the agreement.
The Sacred alliance comprise of Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and Gedion Moi (KANU).
President Uhuru Kenyatta is now finds himself with several balls to juggle, after the passing of Building Bridges Initiative in the counties and awaiting for referendum, and also the dilemma of managing succession politics on Mt Kenya and securing his post-retirement relevance.
Also, he suffers another headache on how to deal with his deputy, to make sure he leaves a country which his United. As well as managing members from the alliance who have presidential ambitions.
