“I have not had a discussion to have an alliance with Raila Odinga… I have met Oparanya to discuss politics 5 times. At no time did we discuss him being sent by Raila…” DP William Ruto said.
However, after DP Ruto's recent statements, the ODM has decided to undress the DP revealing the truth of the matter.
According to the ODM, they have clarified that in all meetings where Wycliffe Oparanya has met DP Ruto, they have been aware of it and that it should not be mistaken as any mission of betrayal.
“Oparanya has not been on any mission of betrayal as some people may want it to look. Sometimes in politics, it is good to learn what your opponent is plotting and be able to get the best defense to counter them," the opposition party says in a statement.
The ODM has continued to state that, every agenda discussed during the Ruto-Oparanya Meeting, Raila Odinga including other ODM party officials are all aware of adding that nothing has been done in secret.
“In all instances, Oparanya has been briefing our ODM party leadership including the party leader on every detail of his discussion with Ruto,” ODM added.
