JUST IN: Raila Denied Access to DCI Headquarters After Matiangi Summon, Threatens to Storm Building

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has been denied access to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Nairobi, where he intended to demand answers regarding a recent police raid on his Karen home. Odinga has threatened to order his supporters to storm the building, citing that it is a public office.

The former Prime Minister arrived at the DCI headquarters early in the afternoon, accompanied by a handful of supporters, only to be turned away by security personnel who cited lack of clearance from the DCI Director.

Odinga, visibly angry, spoke to reporters outside the building, accusing the government of harassment and intimidation, threatening to order his supporters to storm the building.

The alleged police raid on Matiang'i Karen home took place earlier last month, raising temperatures across the political divide.

The situation remains tense outside the DCI headquarters, with police on high alert to prevent any possible unrest. Odinga has called on his supporters to remain calm but vigilant as they await further instructions.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions from the public, with some supporting Odinga's demands for transparency and accountability, while others are condemning his threats to storm a government building.
