In a surprise turn of events former Central Bank of Kenya Governor Njuguna Ndung'u has vehemently disassociated himself from deputy president William Samoei Ruto calling him an economic Saboteur.

Prof. Njuguna Ndung'u.

In a tough-worded statement, Ndungu who is the Executive Director of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) stated that it's an important thing that public association with persons perceived to be sabotaging the economy is not interpreted as endorsing their political ideologies.

To research and advice on economic policies, AERC meets policymakers, legislators, diverse leaders, and the public.

Lately, the deputy president has quoted AERC as being a progenitor to his bottom-up economic policy. Ruto significantly ropped in renowned economist David Ndii in his latest political maneuver of Maasai Mara meetings with Mount Kenya leaders.

Dr. Ndii (extreme left) was party to the Maasai Mara excursion.

The Board of AERC incorporates some of the most powerful economists in Kenya including Professor Freddie Acosta, Dr. Wagura Ndiritu, and Dr. David Ndii.
