President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is expected to retire from the presidential office officially on the ninth of August this year after the general election where Kenyans electorates are expected to elect the successor of Uhuru Kenyatta. Raila Odinga, William Ruto, Jimmy Wanjigi, Ekuru Aukot and Ruben Kigame are all eyeing to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Today, William Samoei Ruto shocked many including Raila Odinga and the entire Azimio la Umoja camp after pulling a very massive crowd of the Kikuyu voters both yesterday and today. He visited Nakuru county today but yesterday he was in Nyeri county. Raila Odinga was too in Ole Ntimama stadium today together with his running mate Martha Karua.
While addressing the leadership of Muranga country yesterday about the Kenya Kwanza economic forum, Ruto endorsed the current county's senator Irung'u Kang'ata to run for the gubenatorial race in this county. Irung'u Kang'ata was to fight with Sabina Chege but Chege withdrew from the race claiming that she wants to concentrate campaigning for Raila Odinga and Martha Karua.
On his twitter account, Irung'u Kang'ata has today thanked Dr William Samoei Ruto for publicly endorsing him yesterday to be the second governor in Muranga county under UDA ticket which is a primary party in Kenya Kwanza.
