The family of the Nominated Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok and Sankok him have been send into mourning after their first born son allegedly shot himself to death. The incident happened at their home in Ewaso Nyiro, Narok today evening in which the son is reported to have used his father's Sankok's) gun to commit suicide.
Sankok's son was fifteen years old, a Form four student at Kericho High School in Kericho. He is reported to have stolen the father's gun from the safe at their bathroom. “From the preliminary investigations, we have established that the boy was meant to go back to school last week but he didn’t,” the Narok CCIO-Mr Mwenda Ithaiba recorded the statement. The alleged son is reported to have spend money that wss meant for his shopping back to school and went back home. However, his parents had raised concerns about his performance in school before the incident happened. The Narok South Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner Felix Kisalu has confirmed the incidence and afirmed DCI officers are investigating the matter as the body of the deceased was taken to Narok County Referral Hospital for preservation.
