Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has received good news ahead of August 9 general elections, as his main competitor Deputy President Dr William Ruto dealt a huge blow after Mount Kenya region elders maintans their political position of backing the former Prime Minister's bid, saying that they are sure that Odinga is going to be the fifth President of the republic of Kenya.
Speaking during a meeting in Siaya County, the Elders assured the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga their support ahead of this year's polls, saying that their new relationship with the Luo community is not going to end anymore they must ensure Odinga wins presidency. They added that they want to strengthen their relationship with the Luo community people as they had agreed earlier last year. Therefore they have no doubt that Raila is going to be the next president to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
