The details of their meeting has been disclosed by the deputy president William Ruto through his official social media accounts.
According to the second in command, Nelson Havi handed him a crucial memorandum that the Law Society of Kenya sent to parliament in defence of the current constitution of Kenya 2010.
He has since noted that it is the responsibility of all Kenyans to ensure that they defend the Constitution and the firm foundation of the rule of law that the Kenyan constitution is built on.
"Received a copy of the memorandum send to parliament in DEFENCE of the constitution from LsK president on this KATIBA day. It is our collective RESPONSIBILITY to DEFEND the constitution and the firm FOUNDATION of the RULE of LAW by resisting all selfish schemes to mutilate it."https://t.co/B0BIGTAQ2v
This comes as the country commemorates the 11th Katiba day since the current Constitution was promulgated on the 27th of August 2010.
