Moses Kuria Delivers Worrying News in Juja By-elections, Calls For Help

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria reports that there are power blackouts in various polling stations in Juja as the voting exercise for the by-election begins.

His statement came minutes before the voting exercise began in the

"Power Blackout in most polling centres in Juja. PS Eng Joseph Njoroge kindly assists," he wrote.

Kuria has a keen interest in the by-election since he is supporting the PEP candidate George Koimburi.

Kuria is said to be the party leader of PEP though he still a member of the Jubilee Party which took him to parliament.

Kuria is competing against his Jubilee party in the polls.

Jubilee Party fielded Susan Waititu as its candidate in the by-election.

She the widow of the late MP Francis Waititu who succumbed to cancer.

The race is seen as a two-horse race between PEP and Jubilee.

Another by-election is at the same time being held in Kisii County in Bonchari.

The former officeholder John Opore died months back.
