Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang Nyong'o on Monday hosted the Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, a visit that came few days after he also hosted President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
The visit was part of Ababu's visits to counties in bid to revive sports across all counties with emphasis on football.
Ababu was accompanied by the Sports Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke.
"CS Ababu Namwamba this morning paid a courtesy call on Kisumu County Governor H.E. Prof. Anyang Nyongo, where they discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between Kisumu County and his ministry on areas of sports, arts, and the creatives. He was accompanied by PS Jonathan Mueke," read a message from the Ministry's Twitter account.
Another one said, "The CS later attended the 9th edition of the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) games held at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium, Mamboleo, where he is representing H.E. the Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua as the chief guest."
Ababu also visited Homa Bay County over the weekend and was hosted by Governor Gladys Wanga.
