Azimio la Umoja Leader of one of the coalition parties in Kenya, Raila Odinga, now claims that an international plot was hatched to rig the presidential election in August.
Speaking on Thursday at the presentation of Oduor Ong'wen, the executive director of the ODM partybook "Stronger than Faith," Odinga charged that European nations rigged the elections to prevent Kenyans from choosing leaders who fought for their liberation.
He said that several Western nations opposed to African liberation and liberties since independence were responsible for the scheme to prevent the realization of his presidential campaign.
“You saw the chairman of IEBC run to announce results and he gets hailed as a hero. They cannot allow that to happen anywhere else but Africa,” said the former premier.
“True African democrats who believe in Africa and using African wealth for the benefit of African people have not been able to get power to do so…the international monopoly capital is not comfortable.”
The Azimio chief went on to state that the “international capital monopoly” was involved in preventing democratic African leaders from assuming power in order to hinder change.
