A day after some Members of Parliament from Mudavadi's Amani National Congress party defected to Raila's Azimio La Umoja, the ANC leader has come out to speak about the defection. The MPs that defected were welcomed by Raila Odinga at Chungwa House on Thursday.

The leader said that though some of the MPs have left, ANC still remains intact and strong. Those that remained are twice stronger than before. He then said that those that defected were paid by the Azimio team to move. Mudavadi said that those that defected will be dealt with by an earthquake when the time is right.
"The @anc_party remains strong despite the buyout of a few MPs. The ones that remained are double the strength of those who have been bought by State House/Azimio machinery. We are not moved. I predict that earthquake will deal with the defecting MPs at the right time," Mudavadi said.
