Homabay Town Member of Parliament George Peter Kaluma has poked holes in the government's move to import Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) over our organic food
The MP has picked issues with how leaders who consider themselves "God chosen" have decided to go for man-made food such as GMO maize.
George Peter Kaluma also questioned how the church is not even complaining about the same, terming it as "And the Church is happy."
President William Ruto's government announced the start of the importation of duty-free GMO maize into the country, a move that many Kenyans triggered a public uproar.
ODM leader Raila Odinga and some of Kenya Kwanza leaders have publicly declared their stands on GMO, they are totally against it.
Raila wants Kenyans to reject the government's call to have the GMO ban lifted. His call was echoed by Roots Party leader Prof George Wajackoya, who also questioned the persons who earned the tender of importing GMOs.
